From 1998-2012 Robert Grayson's initiatives and personal interactions have raised nearly $2,000,000 for the Voice/Opera Division at LSU and Opera Louisiane (a regional company founded by Grayson in 2007). Grayson combines systematic and targeted advice, which is delivered with clarity and humor, to put students at ease in the master class setting. Having worked with Gerard Souzay, Elly Ameling, Peter Pears, Gwendolyn Koldofsky and many giants within the world of opera, Grayson is at home with nearly all types of repertoire. Additionally, he presents detailed and practical information about developing a professional singing career. As a mentor to 27 DMA graduates and with 38 years of college teaching, he presents step by step goals for graduate students and for the young voice/opera professor. Individual coachings may be added to the schedule for site visits.
